Advocacy and the Arts Party

Event Branding, Social Media Strategy

Year: 2024

The ACLU of Mississippi's Advocacy and the Arts Party is a vibrant celebration that unites artists, performers, and local organizers in honoring the diverse tapestry of the Jackson community. Drawing inspiration from the ACLU's national brand guidelines, I crafted a visual identity that captures the essence of the city's rich arts scene, infusing it with energy and dynamism.

In conceptualizing the visual personality for this event, I drew inspiration from vintage record covers and concert posters, imbuing the design with a sense of heritage and authenticity. The result is a bold and lively aesthetic that exudes fun and excitement, reflecting the spirit of the occasion and the vibrancy of the community it celebrates.

Event Signage

The Legislative Session can be confusing and hard to follow. To engage event attendees and community organizers, I sought created signage that broke down the legislative process and the organization’s strategic priorities in an accessible, engaging way.

Celebrating Featured Performers

As one aspect of the social media strategy, I created a series of featured artist performers to showcase our Featured Performers.

Drawing inspiration from vintage aesthetics, I incorporated analogue textures and halftone image effects to breathe some life into the images.
